Tipple Park Museum is nestled in the northen foothills of Alberta bordered by the Pembina and Lobstick Rivers in the hamlet of Evansburg. Our museum celebrates the history of the area through exhibits in the main building as well as a collection of historic buildings on the property. Our main building features an archive and collections storage area.
The name Tipple Park is a nod to the hamlet’s coal mining past as Tipple Park is located on the site where the infrastructure for the coal mine once stood.
Our museum is open to the public year-round, with limited access to the historic buildings during the winter months. We strive to offer programming that all ages in our community and have a year round schedule of craft hours, fesitvals, movie nights, lectures, and more. Please see the events calendar for full details about what is happening at the museum.
The museum is located minutes from the Pembina River Provincial Park Campground. Take a walk up the Ferry Steps from the river valley for a scenic walk to visit the museum.
We are also located within a 30 minute drive from: Entwistle RV Campground, Rangeton Park, Wabamun Lake Provincial Campground, and campgrounds at Seba Beach and Chip Lake.
We are proud members of Route to the Rockies, a network of Yellowhead County museums. We are the first museum on your journey westward. Next on your journey comes the Galloway Station Museum, and Red Brick Arts Centre and Museum in Edson. Next in Hinton is the Northern Rockies Museum of Culture and Heritage. Last, in the Jasper townsite, visit the Jasper-Yellowhead Museum and Archives.

Our address does not work in many GPS systems. We are located in Evansburg, which is located in Yellowhead County. We are the large building beside the grocery store on the main road through Evansburg. The one with the caboose in the yard! Please see the map below.
